Hey, I'm Erin
It is such a privilege to capture emotion and preserve a moment in time.
Eternalising loved up couples fills my heart with so much joy! I get to document a love story plus it's always exciting to test my skills in the various environments of each wedding day.
There are two main ways I take photos:
- Documentary, "fly on the wall," approach which allows me to capture candid, intimate moments without personally interfering. Like a 6 foot tall ninja.
- Conversational style. By chatting and giving direction I go from observer to participant. There might be two people in the image but there's three people in real life so it's important for me to bring a positive energy to the day and create a comfortable environment to let your real personalities shine!
I utilise my two styles to strike a balance between candid and Erin-suggested pictures. My flexible and personable approach brings the right mood to each moment to create your unique collection of images.
I completed a bachelor's degree in film and television, worked as a makeup/hair artist for movies and tv, taught myself how to sew, worked in fashion and then went behind the camera. My previous jobs have helped hone my skills in style, beauty and in cinematic storytelling which is what I love to do!
